As of June 16, the Eastern Corridor for CRE trains had handled a cumulative total of 40,000 train trips through three major ports — Manzhouli, Suifenhe and Tongjiangbei — transporting over 3.9 million TEUs of cargo. The train volume accounts for more than one third of the national total. The corridor currently operates 27 regular routes, connecting over 60 cities in China and reaching 14 European countries, with an annual throughput exceeding 5,000 trains. As one of the three main CRE corridors, the Eastern Corridor consolidates Northeast China's role as a gateway for opening up, ensures the stability of industrial and supply chains in Asia and Europe, drives the clustering of cross-border industries at the ports, supports the revitalization of Northeast China, continues to facilitate the dual circulation of domestic and foreign markets, and serves as a crucial logistics pillar for the Belt and Road Initiative.
