In June this year, the Guangzhou CRE train e-commerce express route completed its first full year of operation. The route departs from Zengchengxi Railway Station, averaging 4 trains per week, with cumulative export value exceeding 900 million yuan, carrying more than 2,000 types of Greater Bay Area goods — including home appliances and clothing — to European markets. Offering faster transit times than sea freight and significantly lower costs than air freight, and combined with streamlined customs clearance measures, the route caters to the demands of cross-border e-commerce orders, facilitating Greater Bay Area consumer goods access to overseas markets and supporting the development of China-Europe trade.
