On August 6, test EMU train D7271 departed Harbin Railway Station in Heilongjiang province and arrived at Yichunxi Railway Station two hours and two minutes later, marking the start of timetable-based trial runs on the Harbin-Yichun High-Speed Railway. Rail travel time between the two cities will be reduced from about seven hours to around two hours, creating a new transport pattern featuring "one-hour and two-hour economic circles". The railway is of great significance for advancing the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China, promoting the development of tourism and ecological resources along the route, and improving the regional railway network.
